Job Overview

As an IT Support Technician, you will play a key role in supporting our clients with their IT systems, ensuring high-quality service delivery and troubleshooting any technical issues. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support for clients via phone, email, and remote desktop tools.
  • Assist with troubleshooting hardware and software issues on Windows and macOS systems.
  • Install, configure, and support various IT systems, including networks, servers, and software applications.
  • Work on the ticketing system, logging and managing service requests and incidents.
  • Monitor and maintain client systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts, access rights, licenses, and email systems.
  • Perform network administration tasks, including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and printer setup.
  • Assist with printer and hardware installations, upgrades, and repairs.
  • Support ongoing IT projects, including hardware deployments and software updates.
  • Provide proactive advice to clients on improving their IT infrastructure.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of IT hardware and software (desktops, laptops, printers, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office 365.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen interest in IT support.
  • A willingness to learn new technologies and take on additional responsibilities.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a strong team player.
  • Previous experience in an IT support role (internship, placement, or similar) is a bonus but not essential.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified) would be beneficial but not required.
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems (e.g. FreshDesk).
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Google Workspace).
  • Understanding of IT security principles.
  • Experience with remote desktop tools and troubleshooting techniques.
