Apprentify is looking for a Development Coach/Trainer to help shape the next wave of Digital Learning Designers. You’ll be coaching apprentices, bringing learning design theory to life, and helping people build real, workplace‑ready skills. It’s a remote‑first role where you’ll run engaging sessions, give great feedback, support learners through their journey, and work with employers to make sure everything ties back to real business needs.
Location: Remote-first (with occasional travel for team events or customer meetings)
Reports to: Performance Manager – Delivery
Contract: Fixed-Term-Contract, Full-Time, Maternity Cover, Hybrid.

Purpose of the Role:
- Support and coach Level 5 Digital Learning Designer apprentices—bringing learning design theory to life through engaging training, 1‑2‑1 coaching and real‑world application.
- Help learners build confidence, capability and commercial awareness as they design effective digital learning solutions.
- Deliver high‑quality training + coaching (group + 1‑2‑1).
- Turn learning design principles into practical, workplace‑ready skills.
- Facilitate applied projects, case studies + hands‑on activities.
- Track progress, spot skill gaps + support timely achievement.
- Manage the full apprentice journey with strong pastoral support.
- Work with employers to contextualise learning.
- Maintain accurate reporting + uphold quality standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across delivery.
- Champion Safeguarding, Prevent + EDI.
Requirements:
- 2+ years in digital learning design, L&D or workplace learning.
- Confident delivering training/coaching.
- Comfortable with digital tools + online platforms.
- Understanding of Safeguarding, Prevent + EDI.
- Knowledge of adult learning + work‑based learning.
- Track record of strong apprentice outcomes.
- Enhanced DBS (or ability to obtain).
- Knowledge of EPA for L5 Digital Learning Design.
- Experience with apprenticeship QA + Ofsted expectations.
- Teaching/training/assessing qualification (or willingness to work towards).
