Flourish are hiring on behalf of our client, who are the leading provider of apprenticeships to the Fire and Security sector. They are looking to recruit a Business Development Executive to join their team in Warrington.
The Company
Our client is a Grade 2 Ofsted national provider and the largest fire and security apprenticeship training provider in the UK, operating from training centres in Warrington, Watford, Walsall, Glasgow and Middlesbrough, with over 750 apprentices currently enrolled on their programmes. Alongside their apprenticeship training, they also offer a range of commercial training courses, designed to upskill existing workforces. They are the organising partner for the WorldSkills UK electronic security and fire competitions, which run each year. In 2023, they launched a company sponsorship programme, which has seen leading brand names in the sector come onboard to invest in their initiatives, designed to address the engineering skills gap within the sector. The company has enjoyed over 500% growth since 2019 and is owned by The Banks Foundation, set up by industry entrepreneur, Simon Banks, and the British Security Industry Association, the sector's leading trade association. It is a hugely exciting time to join a thriving, growing and forward-thinking company. They are aiming for continued growth and want to have 3000 apprentices on programme across the UK. The Role
Reporting into the National Business Development Manager and working as part of a sales team, this is a new business focussed role, targeting Fire & Security installers and Security Officer Services companies in the North of England. The primary objective of the role will be to uncover new apprenticeship opportunities within the target market, leading to increased numbers of students enrolled on their programmes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Contact prospect customers to introduce the business and their training offering
- Schedule meetings (Teams and face to face) with potential customers to progress opportunities
- Work towards exceeding sales targets (monthly, quarterly, annual)
- Work towards pre-agreed activity levels, including managing own diary effectively
- CRM compliance: ensure HubSpot is updated each day with sales activity
- Utilise a variety of tactics to uncover new leads β e.g. cold calling, social media outreach, networking
- Work closely with the Account Manager and Talent Acquisition Managers to help transition leads into enrolled apprentices
- Create a network of peers within partner organisations β e.g. company sponsors
- Regularly attend industry events and exhibitions
- To be able to produce well written customer proposals
Entry Requirements
- Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal
- Personable and confident
- IT Literate, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Social Media
- Excellent organisational skills
- Highly motivated
- Driving licence required for travelling to events, clients and training centres
