About the Role

As an Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that every learner can succeed on their apprenticeship journey. You will design, deliver, and monitor personalised support plans for learners with additional needs, ensuring they have the right strategies, resources, and interventions to thrive. Working closely with development coaches, trainers, and delivery colleagues, you will integrate support seamlessly into programme delivery and champion inclusivity across Apprentify. Responsibilities

  • Assess learner support needs and create personalised action plans with clear, measurable outcomes.
  • Deliver targeted 1:1 or small group interventions to build learner confidence, skills, and engagement.
  • Regularly review and adapt support plans to ensure learner progress and timely outcomes.
  • Provide learners with strategies for managing behaviours, learning difficulties, or disabilities that may impact achievement.
  • Work closely with development coaches, trainers, and delivery colleagues to ensure ALN strategies are embedded within programme delivery.
  • Support colleagues to understand learner needs and adapt delivery approaches effectively.
  • Contribute expertise during programme planning, learner reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and support documentation in line with data protection standards.
  • Track learner progress and provide regular updates to the Head of Delivery.
  • Analyse feedback and performance data to evaluate support effectiveness and identify improvements.
  • Contribute to Apprentify's wider commitment to continuous improvement and inclusivity.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs, disabilities, or challenging behaviours.
  • Strong knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and learning support interventions.
  • Experience working within apprenticeships, FE, or other education and training environments.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, plan, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage learners and colleagues alike.
  • Confidence in using ICT systems to support learning and maintain accurate records.

Required Skills

  • Relevant SEND, ALN, or learning support qualification.
  • Experience designing resources and learning strategies for specific needs.
  • Experience of supporting remote and multi-site learners.
