Purpose of the role:
The AI Business Solutions Trainer will deliver and own the learner experience for the Level 3 AI Business Solutions programme. You will act as a subject matter expert, bringing to life the AI components of the programme while ensuring all learners develop core digital support skills. You will deliver both faceâtoâface and virtual classroom sessions, embedding modern learning pedagogy, AI tools, and interactive approaches to maximise engagement. You will collaborate closely with the curriculum design team to develop, refine, and continuously improve programme content, ensuring it reflects industry best practice and cuttingâedge AI applications.
The ideal candidate will have commercial industry experience, strong digital/AI literacy, and proven ability to train and inspire learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging classroom and virtual sessions across all units of the AI Business Solutions (DST Level 3) apprenticeship.
- Bring the AI elements of the programme to life by showcasing realâworld applications and embedding AI into the digital support learning journey.
- Ensure the learning experience is interactive, inclusive, and aligned with the needs of learners and employers.
- Support employers in contextualising AI adoption and digital productivity for workplace challenges.
- Work with the curriculum team to iterate, improve and evolve programme content.
- Bring AI concepts to life through case studies, examples, and real workplace context.
- Embed futureâfocused AI tools, techniques and industry developments into delivery.
- Support scenarioâbased learning, problemâsolving and applied project work.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work with employers to contextualise learning to real business challenges.
- Act as a trusted AI skills advisor â helping organisations adopt AI responsibly and productively.
- Provide programme feedback to internal stakeholders to support continuous improvement.
Proven experience:
- Delivering training, coaching or facilitation (virtual &/or inâperson).
- Practical experience applying AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot, automation platforms) in a business context.
- Understanding of AI adoption in business workflows, productivity, service, or operations.
- Strong knowledge of data ethics, responsible AI and information governance.
- Ability to break down complex topics into simple, practical, workplaceâready learning.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and learningâengagement skills.
- Confident using digital learning and collaboration platforms.
- Experience delivering apprenticeships or formal training programmes.
- Familiarity with projectâbased learning, portfolios, and workplace coaching.
- Knowledge of pedagogy, curriculum development, and digital learning methods.
- Experience applying AI in workplace productivity, customer support, or project management.
- Understanding of Ofsted/ESFA expectations for apprenticeship delivery.
