As an External Account Manager, you\’ll play a pivotal role in accelerating commercial growth across key markets including retail, e-commerce, and high‑street sectors. You\’ll manage the full sales cycle, develop high‑value relationships, and act as a trusted advisor to organisations shipping parcels at scale. Backed by a strong operational and leadership team, you\’ll have the autonomy to shape your territory while progressing toward more senior roles within the business.

Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Ownership: Build, manage, and strategically expand your own sales pipeline with a focus on consistent monthly and quarterly performance.
  • New Business Generation: Identify, target, and secure new customers in the retail and e‑commerce sectors.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and activity tracking within the CRM.
  • Onboarding & Implementation: Lead smooth client onboarding processes, ensuring quick adoption and a seamless go‑live experience.
  • Client Enablement: Deliver training, tools and guidance to help customers confidently self‑serve.
  • Account Performance: Monitor client activity, address issues early, and manage escalations professionally.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations teams to uphold service standards and support long‑term customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid IT competence, particularly across Microsoft Office tools.
  • Driven, ambitious and motivated by hitting and exceeding targets.
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
  • Minimum of 1 year of field sales experience.
  • Logistics sector experience is highly advantageous.
  • Full UK driving licence.
