As an External Account Manager, you\’ll play a pivotal role in accelerating commercial growth across key markets including retail, e-commerce, and high‑street sectors. Responsibilities
- Pipeline Ownership: Build, manage, and strategically expand your own sales pipeline with a focus on consistent monthly and quarterly performance.
- New Business Generation: Identify, target, and secure new customers in the retail and e‑commerce sectors.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and activity tracking within the CRM.
- Onboarding & Implementation: Lead smooth client onboarding processes, ensuring quick adoption and a seamless go‑live experience.
- Client Enablement: Deliver training, tools and guidance to help customers confidently self‑serve.
- Account Performance: Monitor client activity, address issues early, and manage escalations professionally.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations teams to uphold service standards and support long‑term customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid IT competence, particularly across Microsoft Office tools.
- Driven, ambitious and motivated by hitting and exceeding targets.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
- Minimum of 1 year of field sales experience.
- Logistics sector experience is highly advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence.
