Apprentify Group is a portfolio of six companies, each with its own culture, personality and people. Across the group we support around 10,000 learners a year and we're scaling fast, including a growing intake of new learners who need a smooth, well-managed start to their programme. We need someone ready to own that first stretch of the learner journey: getting every new starter set up right, before handing them on in great shape.

Location: Office-based, Wilmslow

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 (rising to £32,000 on completion of probation) plus commission

Start: Immediate or near-term

DBS check required for all candidates

Overview: Learner onboarding across Apprentify's apprenticeship programmes, from enrolment through to first day of learning.

LIFE IN THE ROLE

You own each learner's journey from confirmed place through to programme start, and that covers a lot of ground. Day to day, you'll be:

  • Setting learners up correctly on the LMS and running eligibility checks before anything else can progress
  • Carrying out IAG suitability conversations, and pushing back on sales when a learner isn't the right fit for the programme they've been enrolled onto
  • Chasing ID verification, initial assessments and evidence, and tracking readiness against each learner's start date in the LMS and Monday.com
  • Working the compliance handoff: no learner goes live without confirmed sign-off, so you're the one making sure everything's evidenced before that gate opens
  • Delivering the first day of learning session yourself, then escalating any safeguarding or suitability concerns that surface along the way

You're holding a caseload of learners at different stages simultaneously, and the volume grows as the group scales. It moves fast, but the pace here is about depth, not just speed: every learner still needs a properly evidenced, individually checked start. The environment: This role is based in our office five days a week. You won't be micromanaged, but you will be expected to own your caseload end to end, from setup to go-live sign-off. Apprentify is a scale-up; processes are still being built and things evolve quickly. The people who thrive here see that as an opportunity, not a problem.

TEAM & CULTURE

You'll join the Learner Enablement team, working closely with Sales and Compliance day to day, plus the wider operational support network. How we work: Clear expectations, genuine ownership of how you deliver against them.

THE HONEST HARD BIT

This role runs on volume and detail at the same time. You'll be chasing the same outstanding document from three different learners while trying to deliver a first-day session with genuine warmth and compliance won't sign anyone off until every box is properly evidenced. As the group scales, the number of learners in your caseload grows before the process around it always catches up. If you like things fully mapped out before you start, this will be uncomfortable at first.

IS THIS FOR YOU?

  • You can hold a caseload of learners at different stages without losing track of detail
  • You're a confident communicator, comfortable chasing people for outstanding information
  • You can push back diplomatically when a learner isn't the right fit for a programme
  • You genuinely care about the experience you create, not just closing the checklist
  • You're comfortable operating in a startup environment, ambiguity included

This is NOT for you if:

  • You need a step-by-step guide for every task
  • You prefer slow, predictable work
  • You find it hard to switch between admin-heavy tasks and people-facing conversations
  • You'd rather avoid a difficult suitability conversation than have it
  • You need a fully structured corporate environment to do your best work

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Experience in a learner-facing, customer-facing or onboarding role requiring case management skills
  • Confidence managing multiple digital systems and tools, picking up new platforms quickly
  • Strong organisational skills, able to manage a caseload without dropping detail
  • Clear, confident communication, including when delivering difficult messages
  • A genuine interest in learner outcomes and the experience you create for them

Nice to have: experience in an apprenticeship, further education or regulated training environment; familiarity with IAG principles or a recognised IAG qualification; experience with LMS platforms, CRM systems or tools like Monday.com; understanding of ESFA funding rules and apprenticeship eligibility requirements.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), increasing with length of service
  • Private medical insurance
  • Birthday Leave + Volunteer Day
  • Quarterly performance bonus
  • Ongoing professional development and leadership support
  • Enhanced family leave policies
  • Access to mental health and wellbeing support
  • Regular company-wide events and team socials

THE INTERVIEW PROCESS

  • Recruiter call: Introductory call to discuss the role and your experience further to check for alignment.
  • Final interview (in person): A face-to-face interview at our office with your line manager and another member of the team, covering how you'd manage a live caseload and handle a suitability conversation.
