WHO WE ARE

Apprentify Group is a portfolio of six companies, each with its own culture, personality and people.

Across the group we support around 10,000 learners a year and we're scaling fast, including a growing AI Leadership programme for senior professionals driving adoption inside their own organisations.

We need someone ready to help senior professionals cut through the noise, lead responsible AI adoption, and turn organisational ambition into measurable impact.

  • THE QUICK FACTS
  • Location: Remote‑first, UK. Occasional travel for company events and onboarding.
  • Contract: Full‑time, permanent
  • Start: Immediate or near‑term
  • DBS check required for all candidates
  • Programme: Level 5 AI Leadership apprenticeship programme
  • LIFE IN THE ROLE

The real work: Most of your time is spent coaching apprentices through applied AI leadership, opportunity assessment, business case development, governance and risk, supplier evaluation and adoption planning, translating strategic concepts into practical, workplace‑ready guidance for non‑technical senior learners.

A learner's organisation shifts direction.

A governance question needs a considered answer, not a quick one.

It moves fast, but the pace here is about depth, not just speed.

The environment: We work remote‑first.

You won't be micromanaged, but you will be expected to own your learners' progress and bring genuine judgement to how you coach them.

Apprentify is a scale‑up; processes are still maturing and priorities can move quickly.

We’re looking for someone who brings structure to their work rather than waiting for it to be handed to them.

TEAM & CULTURE

You’ll join the Delivery team, working alongside curriculum, operations and employer‑facing colleagues to keep the learner journey coherent.

  • Reports to: Performance Manager
  • HOW WE WORK

Clear expectations, genuine ownership of how you deliver against them.

THE HONEST HARD BIT

The admin load is real.

Ofsted‑regulated delivery requires thorough documentation, and this role also carries the added weight of coaching senior learners on topics like governance and risk, where getting the nuance right matters.

If you understand that and can build it into your rhythm, you’ll be fine.

If you need to be persuaded that paperwork and precision matter, this probably isn’t the right fit.

IS THIS FOR YOU?

  • You have significant experience in AI adoption, digital transformation, automation or technology‑enabled change.
  • You can translate strategy into practice for non‑technical, senior audiences.
  • You have genuine coaching, training or facilitation experience with mixed‑experience or senior learners.
  • You understand governance, risk and responsible AI well enough to coach it credibly.
  • You’re comfortable operating in a startup environment, ambiguity included.

This is NOT for you if

  • You need a step‑by‑step guide for every task.
  • You prefer slow, predictable work.
  • Your AI experience is theoretical only.
  • You see documentation as someone else’s problem.
  • You need a fully structured corporate environment to do your best work.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Significant professional experience in AI adoption, digital transformation, automation, technology‑enabled change, governance, risk, procurement, organisational development or business analysis.
  • Proven training and coaching capability with mixed‑experience or senior audiences, 1‑2‑1 and in groups.
  • Strong working knowledge of AI and automation for organisations, including capabilities, benefits, limitations and risks.
  • Ability to translate AI strategy, responsible AI, governance and assurance into clear, accessible terms for non‑technical learners.
  • A commercial and change lens, understanding how organisations assess viability, build business cases and evaluate impact.
  • Confidence managing documentation, compliance and progress tracking alongside your coaching caseload.

Nice to have: apprenticeship delivery experience, understanding of Ofsted/ESFA expectations, relevant AI qualifications or certifications (BCS AI Foundation, Microsoft AI, Google AI), automation build exposure (Power Automate, Zapier or similar), curriculum or content improvement experience.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Competitive salary.
  • 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), increasing with length of service.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Birthday Leave + Volunteer Day.
  • Hybrid working with regular collaboration days in our Wilmslow HQ.
  • Ongoing professional development and leadership support.
  • Enhanced family leave policies.
  • Access to mental health and wellbeing support.
  • Benefits portal with access to 700+ deals.
  • Regular company‑wide events and team socials.
  • THE INTERVIEW PROCESS
  • Recruiter call: Introductory call to discuss the role and your experience further to check there is an alignment.
  • Stage 1 interview – Micro‑teach (45 minutes): You’ll choose from a set of strategic AI leadership tasks and deliver a 15‑minute session as if coaching a senior, non‑technical audience, followed by Q&A.
  • Final interview (1 hour): A conversation about your AI experience and your coaching approach.
