Suffolk Mind’s mission is to make Suffolk the best place in the world for talking about and taking care of mental health. To support this, we are looking to recruit a full-time Support Worker.

Do you want to make a difference in the lives of others? Suffolk Mind is a registered charity promoting mental health and well-being services throughout Suffolk and Sawston, Cambridgeshire.

Join our dedicated team of Support Workers who make a real difference by supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our tenants in supported housing at The Green Road in Sawston.

We seek an open-minded, person-centred individual capable of providing high levels of one-to-one support with daily living activities such as cooking, shopping, budgeting, and emotional support.

Entry requirements

  • Experience in supported housing OR willingness to learn
  • Awareness of welfare rights and benefits
  • Encouraging individuals to participate in all aspects of the service and undertake daily tasks
  • Ability to provide personal and emotional assistance during recovery from mental health issues
  • Basic IT and administrative skills

If you lack some skills and experience, we may consider a trainee role (please indicate on the application form).

A trainee would undertake training and receive a salary of £23,492.04 per year. Sleep-in shifts are available once confirmed into the role as a Support Worker.
