We have exciting Modern Apprenticeship opportunities across various locations, enabling you to earn while you learn, gain practical experience, and enhance your career prospects. Depending on the nursery placement, you could work between 35-40 hours per week. If unsure about your eligibility for funding, please contact us.
Key Duties
- Follow nursery safeguarding procedures to ensure all children are safe, well, and secure.
- Work closely with parents/carers to deliver an individual learning and development journey for children.
- Operate a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children.
- Contribute to a wide range of learning activities and achieve learning outcomes.
- Support team members and develop an excellent working environment.
- Assist children with personal care tasks including toileting, dressing, and feeding.
- Be flexible and help where needed, including cleaning equipment and preparing snacks.
- Promote high standards of the nursery to parents, staff, and visitors.
- Ensure awareness of procedures for risk management, equalities, confidentiality, and behaviour management.
You will work towards obtaining an SVQ in Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF Level 7. The completion timescale varies but typically takes 12 to 15 months. No experience is necessary due to the comprehensive training provided.
