We are offering the opportunity of 10 apprenticeship vacancies to learn all aspects of working in a warehouse environment, from Goods in, despatch, order picking, to inventory. The potential to learn how to operate MHE, such as LLOP and PPT.

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

Our warehouse is vast, with many different roles. However, all have one thing in common - they’re all essential. By joining us at The Range you will be working in a brand-new, purpose-built warehouse where you will receive training and the tools to ensure that you have more than a job, you have a career in Warehousing!

The day-to-day duties of an apprentice would be as follows:

  • Picking and Packing orders
  • Scanning stock
  • Unloading containers
  • Working as part of a team to achieve set targets
  • Use of MHE such as LLOP and PPT

Training to be provided. Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

Your training course: Supply chain warehouse operative (level 2)

Your training plan: Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard:

  • All training will be delivered 1-1 in the workplace
  • You will receive on the job training and appropriate time off to complete your studies
  • Opportunity after 6 months to be trained on a Counterbalance
  • Opportunity after 9 months to be trained on a Reach Truck

Entry Requirements:

  • Essential qualifications: GCSE in Maths and English (grade 4 or above)
  • Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements: Would need to be able to get to the site, however subsidised transport from Ipswich is an option. The role is physically demanding and would involve heavy lifting.
