What you’ll be doing

As a Stock Controller, you’ll take ownership of stock accuracy and equipment management, helping to maintain high standards across the business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing stock levels across engineer vans and warehouse inventory
  • Managing and maintaining accurate records for tools, equipment, and materials
  • Coordinating the issue and return of equipment such as ladders, rigs, and power tools
  • Monitoring stock usage and arranging returns for unused items
  • Carrying out regular audits of van stock and resolving discrepancies
  • Supporting purchasing activities, including raising and updating purchase orders
  • Researching and sourcing new suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement
  • Liaising with external bodies to ensure equipment is correctly registered and compliant
  • Managing uniform distribution and monitoring usage levels
  • Booking transport for engineers when required
  • Creating and maintaining part numbers in line with internal processes
  • Supporting health and safety compliance by ensuring required equipment is maintained
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs
  • Working collaboratively with different departments to support operational efficiency
