Speech and Language Therapist ( SALT ) Band 6 – Neurological Rehabilitation Location: Tonbridge, Kent Salary: £37,338 – £44,962 per annum Hours: Monday – Friday 9-5 ( 37.5 hours per week ) About the Role: Appoint Healthcare are proud to partner with an extremely reputable, leading provider of neurological care and rehabilitation. Supporting individuals suffering from neurological disability as a result of acquired brain injury, stroke, progressive neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis, parkinson's and huntington's disease. Together, we are seeking a Speech and Language Therapist ( SALT ) for their service, based in Kent. Key Responsibilities: Managing a caseload of patients who have complex presentations, using evidence based and client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions Complete comprehensive assessments and use information accordingly Contribute to care planning and rehabilitation treatment planning To work with patients and team members to identify goals and develop treatment plans in accordance with these goals; and to ensure regular review of goals during admission To utilise outcome measures to monitor progress and optimise effectiveness of interventions Provide advice and support to junior SLT colleagues, including clinical supervision To contribute to regular reviews in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings and at planned review meetings; and to provide comprehensive and accurate reports as required To contribute to the training and development across the wider staff group To contribute to discharge planning, including liaison with community teams To ensure all clinical records are maintained to the HCPC and RCSLT standards To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need to Be: Qualified in Speech and Language Therapy and registered with the RCSLT Registered with the HCPC Evidence of successful completion of Dysphagia Training Evidence of CPD and continued learning Experience of working with patients in the neuro setting Experience and understanding of cognitive communication disorders Knowledge and experience in using appropriate outcome measures Experience of a range of models of SLT practice Experience in delivering evidence-based practice, following best practice guidelines, using assessment tools and providing outcome measures Experience in independently establishing goals and therapy plans Able to contribute to IDT processes, including joint goal setting, IDT meetings, Review meetings and reports, and compiling outcome measures To Apply: For more information or to submit your application, please contact: Ellie Cowell – Recruitment Consultant Email: (url removed) Phone/Text: (phone number removed) / (phone number removed) Ref: APPEC Note: Final salary will be determined based on demonstrated competence during the interview process.
