Duties and responsibilities
You will be working as a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner and will be responsible for:
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced and high‑volume clinical setting
- Prepare patients for surgery
- Take them through the journey and reassure patients throughout
- Caring for patients after surgery, recovering from sedation
- Review patient charts and confirm data
- Ensure medical equipment is prepared for surgery
- Follow surgeons’ directions and pass medical equipment
- Medicine Management and Audits
Who we’re looking for
- Be NMC / HCPC registered – your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK without sponsorship
- At least 1 year experience working in theatres in the UK
- Ophthalmic / optometry / ophthalmology experience highly desirable
- Interest in development and progression – this role offers the opportunity to complete the surgical assist course
