About the role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a driven and experienced Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join a highly reputable state-of-the-art private eye clinic in Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity for a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join their thriving theatre team permanently. The clinic is high performing and expanding. You will be exposed to a wide range of specialties, practicing some of the most advanced treatments, including surgical procedures in Ophthalmology. This role offers the chance to expand your skills in assisting patients undergoing procedures such as cataract surgery in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Work in a fast-paced and high-volume clinical setting
- Prepare patients for surgery
- Guide patients through their journey and provide reassurance
- Care for patients post-surgery, recovering from sedation
- Review patient charts and confirm data accuracy
- Ensure medical equipment is prepared for surgery
- Follow surgeons’ instructions and pass medical equipment
- Manage medicines and conduct audits
Who we’re looking for:
- Be NMC / HCPC registered with no restrictions or conditions on your pin
- Eligible to live and work in the UK without sponsorship
- At least 1 year of theatre experience in the UK
- Experience in Ophthalmic / Optometry / Ophthalmology is highly desirable
- Interest in development and progression; opportunity to complete surgical assist course
