About the role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a driven and experienced Theatre Nurse / ODP to join a highly reputable and dynamic private hospital based in Portsmouth, Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Scrub Nurse / ODP to join their friendly theatre team on a permanent basis. The hospital prides itself in the high quality of care that they provide and offers a range of services including consultations and diagnosis, personalised treatments and aftercare. The hospital has recently opened a new minor operations suite and are looking for passionate Scrub Nurses / ODP’s to work in general, orthopaedic and day case scrub.

Duties and responsibilities
You will be working as a Scrub Nurse / ODP as part of our theatre team and will be responsible for:

  • Scrub for a range of consultant led surgeries including orthopaedics, cosmetics, gynae, ENT and many more
  • Develop care plans taking into consideration the care pathway, perioperative risks and the patients well-being
  • Support in assessing patients health and well being
  • Actively promote best practice and contribute towards quality improvements
  • Who we’re looking for

  • Be NMC / HCPC registered – your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • At least 2 years scrub experience in the UK
  • Orthopaedic experience highly desirable
  • Able to showcase excellent patients care
  • Strong communication skills
  • Flexible and eager to learn
