A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Senior Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse to join a highly reputable and leading private hospital based in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Senior Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse to join their award-winning Cardiology team. The hospital boasts state-of-the-art facilities and offers consultations with specialities in a wide range of treatments. In addition, the hospital has a modern ITU department to allow more complex cardiac procedures and TAVI. The hospital offers screening, rehabilitation and surgical procedures across a variety of specialist treatments. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to gain experience across a variety of specialisms. The hospital boasts an incredible OUTSTANDING CQC rating.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Work across various areas of the hospital including cardiology pre-assessment, cardiac catheter lab, cardiac outpatients, theatres
  • Support the ward with Cardiac patients
  • Supporting Cardiology Consultants in clinics
  • Scrubbing for a full range of complex interventional cardiology procedures and assisting with implantation of IABP, TAVI and complex devices
  • Support the non-invasive cardiology services within the Outpatient Department
  • Prepare an operating Hybrid theatre/anaesthetic room/outpatient cardiology suite for procedure

Who we’re looking for

  • All applicants for the role of Senior Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse must meet the following criteria:
  • Be NMC registered – your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • At least 3 years UK experience within a cardiac catheter lab
  • Experience scrubbing for routine and complex cardiology procedures including EPS ablation
  • Able to showcase excellent patient care
  • Strong communication skills
  • Capable and confident to work on own initiative
