Regional Admiral Nurse( RGN / RMN / RNLD ) – 10 Nursing Homes Location: Homes are across Greater London, Surrey, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire
Salary: £ – £ per hour + mileage expenses

Hours: Full time (40 hours Days)
Contract type: Permanent

The Role
As the Regional Admiral Nurse , you will play a pivotal role in supporting Dementia Care Managers in the operational delivery of the My Life Strategy. Your high visibility in clinical areas will raise awareness, provide practical solutions for families, and support best practices within our homes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Specialist Nursing Assessment : Conduct assessments and provide evidence-based interventions, practical advice, and emotional support to families of people with dementia, care team members, and, where appropriate, the individuals themselves.
  • Operational Support : Assist Dementia Care Managers in delivering the My Life Strategy, ensuring a high standard of dementia care across our homes.
  • Education and Training : Develop and deliver educational programs for care home team membersand families living with dementia, enhancing the skills and competencies of the staff team.
  • Practice Development : Participate in the development, evaluation, and audit of this specialist area of practice.
  • Bereavement Support : Offer support at all stages, including bereavement, to ensure comprehensive care for families and residents.

Training and Development :

You will have the opportunity to access relevant courses and develop professionally, guided by the Admiral Nurse Competency Framework. This framework will help you maintain and strengthen your clinical expertise as a specialist nurse in dementia care.

  • A full driving licence is essential as it is a requirement to travel across our home portfolio as part of this role (Mileage expenses paid)
