Summary:
Appoint Healthcare partners with a leading provider supporting adults with mental health, learning disabilities, and brain injuries. We are seeking a newly qualified preceptorship nurse, either a Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or a Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD or RMN), to join their Specialist Learning Disabilities Hospital near Cardiff. The service users are cared for in gender-specific units based on their needs.
As a Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse within this 29-bed service, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver positive outcomes. Patients primarily have learning disabilities and forensic histories, with some presenting complex needs and behaviors that challenge. The hospital is easily accessible from Cardiff city center and offers a learning disability/ASC-friendly environment.
Preceptorship nurses: The service provides a comprehensive preceptorship program with experienced staff to support newly qualified nurses.
Requirements:
- Relevant Nursing Qualification (RMN or RNLD)
- Valid NMC Registration or expected PIN in the coming weeks
- Eligibility to work in the UK (British Passport or Biometric Card)
- Self-motivated, flexible, positive, caring, and compassionate
- Commitment to high-quality, evidence-based care
- Holiday allowance of 33 days, paid, including bank holidays
