About the role:

An exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses to work within the stroke team of a highly reputable hospital based in North Bristol. The services include regional thrombectomy, thrombolysis, hyer-acute and acute stroke care and rehabilitation. This is a varied and exciting role to work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering state of art stroke care. The hospital is vibrant and modern and boasts outstanding facilities for both the staff and their patients. The team are passionate about their patients and put them at the heart of everything they do and we are looking for like-minded Registered Nurses to join.

You will be working as a Registered Nurse within the stroke team and responsible for the following duties;

  • Holistic treatment of patients at all stages of their journey
  • Organising and participating in the delivery of high standards of evidence based care
  • Contribute to the health promotion for all patients by providing education, support and advice as necessary
  • Ensuring referral to appropriate professionals or agencies if required
  • Assisting in the co-ordination of discharge planning in partnership with the multidisciplinary team
  • In the absence of senior staff, taking responsibility for the delegation and supervision of appropriate work to other staff and health professionals
  • Who we’re looking for

  • Be NMC registered- your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • At least 1 years UK experience in a stroke setting
  • Recognised teaching & assessing qualification.
  • Completion of training for additional clinical skills such as IV drug administration/cannulation venepuncture/male catheterisation/training to monitor and change syringes for epidural & PCA syringe drivers. ECG training.
