Job Description
This role will be working away up to 50% of the time. Accommodation is included along with a food allowance.
Are you an experienced Welder/Fabricator looking for the opportunity to work with a respected and growing steel fabrication business? We have a great opportunity to join a supportive and friendly team with long-term career prospects.
Duties
- Perform TIG, Stick, MIG, MMA, Hard Face welding, Light to heavy fabrication work, Sheet Metal work, on-site fabrication
- Utilise hand tools and power tools for fabrication tasks, including cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately fabricate parts
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following all health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency in the fabrication area
- Provide mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues that may arise during the fabrication process
Requirements
- Strong fabrication skills with experience in sheet metal work
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to metalworking
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills
- Mechanical knowledge is essential for understanding equipment operation and maintenance
