Job Description
Are you a hands-on Management Accountant looking for your next challenge? We’re working with a well-established engineering business in Grimsby who are seeking a finance professional to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to add real value in a fast-paced, project-driven environment, supporting the business with accurate financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making insight.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the company’s overall financial performance
- Lead on forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities
- Prepare reports for the board
- Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts
- Manage a team of 3
- Oversee cash flow reporting and ensure effective working capital management
- Manage the sales and purchase ledgers
- Calculate and report on contract revenue recognition in line with IFRS 15
Requirements:
- Have achieved ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualification or equivalent
- Be experienced with Excel
- Experience using Sage200 would be beneficial
- Understanding of project costs, work in progress, CIS, and revenue recognition would be a big advantage
