As Marqeta’s GTM Strategy & Operations Manager based in the UK, you will help build and execute the strategy and operations for a best-in-class sales organisation. In this role, you will partner with Sales to use insights to develop internal sales processes and operational activities to maximise sales productivity. You will cover core areas including reporting on sales performance and trends, working cross-functionally on initiatives to increase sales efficiency, and driving strategic planning.
This is a hybrid role and requires employees to be based within 35 miles of our London office. You will be expected to work on-site two days a week, on Tuesday and Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on the other days.
The Impact You’ll Have
- Support sales strategy, quota setting, and account assignments within the EU region
- Drive annual planning activities, including revenue growth projections and headcount planning with a specific focus on:
- Account management engagement cadence and templates
- Account planning – growth and expansion vs revenue maintenance
- Manage our sales funnel through data, systems, strategy and process – including the sales pipeline and forecast management process, working to ensure forecast accuracy and overall pipeline health and driving a consistent global approach
- Support goal setting, tracking, and performance measurement of the business
- Support team lead in key activities to develop the team and drive thought leadership
Who You Are
- 8+ years of proven experience managing a best-in-class, complex Sales Operations function supporting growth in a FinTech / modern payments sales environment
- Relevant Global Market experience
- Enterprise and above account exposure and experience engaging customers of this scale
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills, including talent for conducting research, analysing data, developing hypotheses, and synthesising recommendations to an executive-level audience
- Track record in excellent process design and documentation, ideally including onboarding process optimisation in regulated payments organisations
- Experience with data and analytics and translating insights into value for customers (ideally some AI experience)
- Ability to not only think strategically but also follow through in execution and operations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an attention to detail
- A proven ability to develop tactical initiatives that improve sales productivity and performance
- Self-starter who can operate independently with minimal supervision
