The predicted salary is between 70000 - 90000 £ per year.

The client has a current M&A programme running, alongside this they have further acquired part of an additional organisation that needs carving out and integrating into the new organisation. The work will be to do a deep dive on the infrastructure environment that will be inherited as part of the carve out and review the current organisation's infrastructure environment.

As the Infrastructure Architect, you will work with PMs, other Architects, business, and SMEs to understand requirements and then turn requirements into practical infrastructure designs, propose a phased approach/roadmap to infrastructure integration - Solution Architecture.

The organisation is Microsoft focused with Dynamics 365 and an Azure Cloud environment - the carve out organisation has SAP as its ERP. The work and your experience will cover the following:

  • Produce high‑level and low‑level designs (HLD/LLD)
  • Cloud Server Consolidation
  • End-User Network / Cyber Security - Architecture (identity, firewall, endpoint, network) ensuring compliance with cyber policies and standards
  • Backup, DR, and business continuity
  • Ensure design aligns with the company's enterprise standards and target Application & Infrastructure architecture
  • Define non‑functional requirements (availability, performance, security, DR)
  • Support the client & 3rd Party engineers during build and resolve design issues
  • Ensure solution is implemented as per design (“design authority”)
  • Identify technical risks and constraints early
  • Define Infrastructure mitigation strategies
  • Ensure changes go through architecture governance/CAB
  • Support hypercare and early life support
  • Produce and maintain Architecture diagrams
  • Configuration standards
  • Run/operational documentation
  • Test strategy (performance, failover, security)
