Technical Operations Lead / DevOps Lead - Azure, Terraform, Intune, Sentinel - required for a growing FinTech business, paying up to £75000 + Benefits. This is a remote-first role, joining a business that continues to invest heavily in its cloud platform, security posture, operational resilience and compliance capabilities. Please note; although they are comfortable with you being remote first - we do need people that can get to a Manchester office when required. I'd imagine the first week will be spent on site with the right people to get to know the role and environment.
You will report directly to the COO giving you great visibility in the business for the value, security and scalable solutions you support - but also a fantastic opportunity to learn from, and be supported by, a very impressive COO and Co-Founder.
As Technical Operations Lead / DevOps Lead, you will take ownership of the production environment, security operations and cloud infrastructure across the organisation. This is a broad role sitting between DevOps, Infrastructure, a focus on Security as well as Compliance. You will have genuine responsibility for ensuring the platform remains stable, secure and scalable.
As Technical Operations Lead / DevOps Lead you will be working closely with Product, Engineering and Support teams, overseeing production operations, infrastructure deployments, release management and operational readiness, whilst leading security initiatives across the wider Microsoft ecosystem. This is a role for someone who enjoys ownership. You'll be the person driving operational best practice, leading incident response, improving security controls and ensuring compliance requirements are met without creating unnecessary friction for the wider business.
The environment is heavily Azure-focused, with strong adoption of Infrastructure as Code and modern security tooling. There is plenty of opportunity to influence direction, introduce improvements and help shape how operational excellence is delivered moving forward.
Core experience should cover the following:
- Strong Azure infrastructure and cloud operations experience
- Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Microsoft Sentinel, Purview and wider Microsoft Security stack
- Intune and endpoint management
- Production environment ownership and release management
- Incident response and vulnerability management
- Zero Trust security principles
- ISO27001, SOC2 and GDPR compliance exposure
- Experience operating within regulated environments, ideally Financial Services or FinTech
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
