Toddlers are busy discovering just how much they can do for themselves and this is an opportunity to lead a room that embraces every bit of that growing confidence, curiosity and independence.

We're looking for an experienced Level 3 Room Leader to take the lead of the Toddler Room within a fun, energetic and nurturing nursery.

The setting has been designed to make learning exciting, with bright, engaging rooms tailored to each age group and plenty of opportunities for children to explore, experiment and learn through play.

As Toddler Room Leader, you'll combine hands-on early years practice with leadership responsibility, creating an engaging environment for the children while supporting your team to deliver consistently high standards of care and education.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum
  • Level 3 Early Years qualification

(full and relevant).

  • Previous experience as a
  • Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner

, or within a similar senior early years role.

  • Experience working with toddlers would be highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.
  • Excellent understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Confidence leading, supporting and motivating a room team.
  • Ability to plan engaging experiences around children's individual interests and developmental needs.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • An enthusiastic, hands-on and nurturing leadership style.

  • Lead the day-to-day running of the Toddler Room.
  • Support, mentor and motivate practitioners within your team.
  • Plan exciting, age-appropriate experiences in line with the EYFS.
  • Encourage children's communication, confidence, independence and social development.
  • Ensure the room remains stimulating, welcoming and appropriately resourced.
  • Monitor children's progress and ensure observations and assessments are completed to a high standard.
  • Build strong relationships with children and maintain open communication with their families.
  • Work closely with the wider nursery and management teams.
  • Maintain excellent standards of safeguarding, health and safety and early years practice.
