Join the team at Cotswold Spa Hospital School as a Teaching Assistant and be part of supporting the delivery of education to residents with eating disorders to help build a brighter future. You will work at the Cotswold Spa Hospital School in Broadway, Worcestershire with an onsite school. The school provides educational services to the young people in our care with a full multidisciplinary team.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide on-hand support to teachers as they design and deliver classroom lessons. This will see you assist in the preparation for these lessons, ensuring the classroom has all materials required and supporting pupils to engage in the syllabus. You'll be able to think creatively and build a strong rapport with the cohort, encouraging engagement and supporting their learning, behaviour and social skills progression.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Education-related qualifications
  • Previous experience of working with children in a school setting
  • Excellent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
  • Hobbies/interests/skills that contribute to a wide curriculum offering
  • Experience of working with young people with SEMH needs and/or SEN
  • Ability to identify and implement interventions to ensure students engage in lessons and make progress
  • Resilience, flexibility, and adaptability in approach to meet the needs of each individual
  • Ability to empathise and engage easily with young people, offering appropriate and professional support at all times

Location: Cotswold Spa, Station Road, Broadway, Worcestershire, WR12 7DE. Cotswold Spa Hospital is a specialist eating disorder service located in Broadway, Worcestershire for young people aged between 13+ which offers both inpatient and day patient treatment programmes. It is situated in the picturesque village of Broadway, Worcestershire, close to the Cotswold Way. The service is for young people of all genders with an eating disorder, predominantly: Bulimia Nervosa, Anorexia Nervosa, Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder. The units have been specifically designed with the adolescent and young adult in mind. The interior design of the hospital is both contemporary and comfortable incorporating young people's art.
