Applus+ 3C Test (part of Applus+ Laboratories) is a worldwide leader in the testing, inspection and certification sector. We primarily provide EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) testing in the Automotive sector, but we also test in the Military and Commercial sectors as well to EMC, Vibration and Environment testing requirements.
Currently we are recruiting for a Technical Sales Engineer to join our team at Silverstone. As part of our Technical Sales team, you would deal with RFQs (requests for quotations) generated by our business development manager, received into our Sales inbox directly from customers or via direct telephone call. You will be generating technical quotations using existing templates/pricing strategy, following up with the customers to improve success rate and proactively communicating with existing and new customers to generate new leads.
This position combines technical knowledge of EMC testing with customer relationship management and sales skills, making it ideal for candidates with both technical expertise and business acumen.
Main duties will include:
- Respond to customer enquiries in a swift and appropriate manner.
- Advise on optimal testing approaches, holding meetings where needed.
- Ensure that customers are always aware of the latest developments at Applus.
- Collaborate with external sales, technical and operations teams to deliver optimal solutions.
- Produce technical quotations against customer requirements using approved pricing structure and standard templates.
- Proactively follow up on quotes, inquiries, and leads to drive conversion and ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- ~2 years’ experience in EMC/Electrical testing in Automotive, Military or Commercial fields.
- ~1 year experience in a customer facing role i.e. sales, retail, etc or proven experience.
- ~Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM system advantageous.
- ~Degree level or equivalent in Maths/Science/Engineering or proven technical background.
- ~A knowledge of basic project management skills is required with the ability to prepare project schedules and communicate with other departments.
- ~The ability to talk confidently, accurately express test proposals and deal with customer problems and issues is essential.
- ~Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- ~Fluent English communication and UK work authorization.
- ~Strong organizational abilities with capacity to work independently and collaboratively under pressure.
