We are currently looking for an

EMC Test Technician to join our team on a stable basis.

What you will do

  • Perform UKAS-accredited and non-accredited testing on customer equipment in accordance with relevant standards and test plans.
  • Set up and operate EMC test systems, ensuring all laboratory activities are conducted efficiently and in line with quality requirements.
  • Verify equipment readiness and documentation prior to testing, ensuring compliance with quotations, test plans, and the Quality Manual.
  • Execute tests following Applus+ 3C procedures, meeting ISO 17025 standards and maintaining awareness of the latest documentation versions.
  • Monitor, maintain, and verify calibration of test equipment, accurately recording usage and reporting any faults or inconsistencies.
  • Document and report test results, ensuring completion of worksheets and preparation of accurate EMC compliance reports when required.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers on technical and administrative matters, while maintaining a professional work environment and laboratory standards.

Requirements

  • This is an entry level position so previous experience within an electrical / electronics role or a graduate wanting to step into the world of electromagnetic compatibility.
  • Access to a personal vehicle and be able to commute to support shift-based working hours (shift work schedule: 37.5 hours per week.

Monday to Friday.

Two shifts in operation with no rotation).
