What you'll do
- Operate and program CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components according to engineering specifications and drawings.
- Set up and calibrate machines, ensuring all tools are correctly aligned and functioning optimally for production runs.
- Conduct regular inspections of machined parts to verify adherence to quality standards, making adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of production outputs, machine settings, and maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote workplace safety.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing feedback on processes and suggesting enhancements.
- Train and mentor junior machinists, sharing your expertise to foster skill development within the team.
- Assist in the development of new machining techniques and processes to enhance product quality and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies throughout all machining operations.
- Engage in regular team meetings to discuss production goals, challenges, and strategies for improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in programming CNC milling machines, with a strong understanding of G-code and M-code.
- Solid knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and materials used in CNC milling operations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues effectively.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and inspection techniques.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with team members and management.
- A proactive attitude towards safety and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

- Experience with CAD/CAM software for programming CNC machines.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
