We’re continuing to build out the Applied Intuition team here in London, and one of the key roles we’re hiring for is a Computer Vision / Senior Autonomy Engineer.

We’re looking for someone who can take ML and computer vision models through the full development cycle, from prototyping and evaluation through to optimisation, deployment and system-level performance.

Working across computer vision, perception and autonomy:

  • Building and improving deep learning models
  • Working closely with perception and planning engineers
  • Writing production software in C++ and/or Python
  • Testing, debugging and improving model performance in real-world autonomy systems

We’re particularly interested in people who have worked in computer vision, perception, deep learning, autonomy, robotics, drones, aerospace or defence environments. This would suit someone who has built real software and ML systems, not just experiments or demos.

Key requirements include:

  • Computer vision, perception or deep learning
  • ML model development, evaluation and deployment
  • C++ and/or Python
  • SIL / HIL or real-world autonomy testing
  • Publications in computer vision, robotics or machine learning
  • Experience with drones or flight computers such as PX4
  • Experience improving system-in-the-loop model performance
  • Current or previous UK Security Clearance

What matters most is that you are a strong engineer, comfortable working across ML and production software, and excited by the idea of building real autonomy capability for defence use cases. This would suit someone ambitious, hands-on and low ego who wants to work in a small, high-impact team helping shape Applied Intuition’s UK engineering capability.

Must be able to hold UK Security Clearance.

Defence / autonomy / vehicle intelligence focus.
