We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Project Manager to drive the successful delivery of complex projects by managing technical workflows, aligning teams with client requirements, and ensuring quality outcomes. You will act as a primary liaison for clients, handling technical queries, providing updates, and resolving escalations, including scope changes or challenges. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with excellent leadership skills, able to navigate complex project environments and foster collaboration across diverse teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage Azure DevOps & JIRA boards, ensuring alignment between technical teams and client requirements
- Lead and facilitate standups, retrospectives and sprint planning sessions
- Work with Tech Lead to translate proposal delivery plans into measurable and monitorable delivery plans for delivery team
- Assist in project resource allocation
- Lead the RAID process, identifying risks and proactively working with stakeholders to resolve issues
- Drive RACI updates, ensuring clarity of responsibilities across delivery teams
- Act as the primary client liaison (where applicable), handling technical queries and project updates
- Monitor and report on project KPIs, preparing weekly summaries to Heads / Partners, and monthly updates for Board
- Review and enforce compliance with internal processes during all project phases
- Ensure presentations and client deliverables meet quality standards and align with technical objectives
- Contribute to developing new project management frameworks or processes
- Handle escalations from clients, including technical challenges or changes in scope, providing solutions
- Work with Tech Leads to optimise workflows and improve delivery timelines
Key Requirements
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering technical projects in collaborative environments
- Experience of leading cross-functional teams, including technical and non-technical staff
- Experience working with public sector clients
- Practical understanding of Azure DevOps and JIRA boards, workflows, and configurations
- Practical understanding of RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) processes
- Practical knowledge of metrics and reporting tools for project performance
- In-depth understanding of project lifecycle management, including planning, monitoring, and delivery
- Familiarity with internal and external compliance requirements for project delivery
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban, for managing sprints and standups
- Proven ability to lead meetings (e.g., standups, retrospectives, sprint planning) to drive alignment and action
- Proven ability to handle escalations, resolve conflicts, and mitigate risks
- Proven ability to review client deliverables for accuracy, quality, and alignment with objectives
- Proven ability to effectively handle scope changes and technical challenges
- Proven ability to anticipate issues and address them before they escalate
- Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and implement strategies to improve timelines and processes
