About the role
Applied Blockchain is building its commercial presence in London, and this role sits at the centre of it. You will be our face at industry events across the city: identifying the right people to meet before you walk in the room, presenting the work we do, and turning those conversations into qualified opportunities for our senior team to take forward.
This is a field-first role, not a desk one. You will not be carrying a closing quota. You will be out in the market building the network that drives our pipeline, with genuine autonomy over how you run it.
You will be our first dedicated commercial hire in London, which means real ownership from day one and a clear path into a senior commercial role as we grow.
What you’ll be doing
- Research and target the right people and companies ahead of events
- Represent Applied Blockchain at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities, including breakfast, evening and weekend events
- Present our consulting and bespoke engineering services to enterprise prospects
- Qualify the opportunities you generate and follow up rigorously after every event
- Hand qualified opportunities to our senior commercial team to take through to close
- Build and maintain a strong network across the London enterprise and technology scene
- Track your pipeline and activity in our CRMStay current on industry trends, emerging technologies and competitors
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 2 years selling to enterprise clients
- Experience selling bespoke software development, custom engineering or technology consultancy, where every engagement is scoped rather than sold off the shelf
- A track record of generating qualified meetings and pipeline with substantial, non-transactional deal values
- Based in London, and available to attend breakfast, evening and weekend events across the city
- Willing to travel for events beyond London, mainly within Europe with occasional travel further afield
- Strong networking skills and genuine confidence presenting services to senior stakeholders
- Right to work in the UK. Applied Blockchain does not offer visa sponsorship
- Experience using CRM systems
- An ambitious, energetic and adaptable mindset, comfortable adopting new tools and ways of working

- Experience or interest in the blockchain and/or AI sectors
- £1000 Annual Allowance for Training (up to 50% of this value can be used for you to buy workstation equipment to work from home)
