About the Client
The Client is a major EPC focused on the subsea energy industry.
About the Role
The role concerns the installation of 26 morning lines in 2000m water offshore Brazil. Each line is composed of 200m x 120mm diam chain + 3 segments of 900m x 198mm diam rope. The work will be remote to begin with, with limited travel to the office, followed by offshore work (exact missions TBC).
The Mooring Specialist is expected, as a minimum, to:
- Provide technical leadership in the preparation and execution of deepwater mooring line installations using polyester rope segments.
- Develop and review detailed engineering procedures for mobilization and offshore installation.
- Conduct and lead Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRAs).
- Ensure compliance with company engineering tools, documentation standards, and software.
- Validate the suitability of the Anchor Handling Tug (AHT) and liaise with vessel owner; attend vessel inspections and prep if required.
- Serve as offshore lead during mobilization and execution.
- Ensure documentation is issued in line with company tools and standards.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 10 years\’ experience in offshore mooring operations and engineering.
- Proven expertise in polyester rope handling and deepwater pre-lay campaigns.
- Strong track record of recent offshore execution (within the last 3 years).
- Fluent in English; Portuguese fluency and prior work experience in Brazil are advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage both engineering and offshore operational responsibilities.
