Front of House Team Member

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, and supporting the overall operation of the establishment. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and ensure they feel welcomed upon arrival
• Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages efficiently
• Provide excellent guest service, addressing any enquiries or special requests promptly
• Assist with food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with regulations
• Support food preparation and organisation in the kitchen as needed
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
• Manage table reservations and optimise seating arrangements for smooth service flow
• Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including dining spaces and service stations
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operation during busy periods

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or related roles is preferred but not essential
• Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques
• Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities
• Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
• Basic maths skills for handling transactions and billing processes
• Kitchen experience or culinary background is a plus but not mandatory
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to varied responsibilities within the team

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
