The Governors of Deighton Gates Primary School are seeking to appoint a committed, motivated, and enthusiastic Administrator to join our friendly and dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy school office and provide essential support to the Senior Leadership Team, Governing Board, Teaching Staff and Friends of Deighton Gates.

As a key member of our school community, you will contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the school’s administrative functions while delivering a welcoming and professional service to pupils, parents, staff, and visitors.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday

Minimum of 20 hours per week

Term-time only

Role Overview

Working closely with the School Business Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, efficient administrative service. The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a varied workload.

Key Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for parents, pupils and visitors
  • Maintaining accurate records using Microsoft Office, SIMS, and other IT systems
  • Administering and recording payments for school meals, trips, and activities
  • Booking and arranging school trips
  • Monitoring and managing stock supplies
  • Providing administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team, Governors, teaching staff, and the Friends of Deighton Gates

As the first point of contact for parents, pupils, and visitors, the successful candidate will:

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be well organised and able to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently
