Grade 6 (Level 1-4) – £28,394 – £30,975 per annum (Pay award pending). 31.83 hours per week (8.45am to 3.30pm, additional hour until 4.30pm on Wednesday for staff meeting). Term Time Only. Required starting: September 2026.

Applefields School is seeking to recruit multiple Teaching Assistant Level 3 positions at its main site (Bad Bargain Lane). Candidates seeking reduced or flexible hours are encouraged.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide general classroom support to students across all provisions, including those with moderate, severe and SEMH needs, autistic spectrum additional needs, challenging behaviours, complex medical needs, and PMLD.

A secondary school for children and young people with additional needs located in Burnholme, York. The school has embedded classes at secondary mainstream schools and post‑19 provision in partnership with Linkage Community Trust. Our students are at the heart of what we do and we aim to help them achieve their aspirations within a supportive and vibrant environment.
