We are looking to appoint a class teacher within the North Yorkshire Rural Schools Federation, based at Stillington Primary School in our EYFS/KS1 team. We will provide a fantastic opportunity for you to successfully develop your career. This post will particularly suit a candidate with a strong interest and experience of varying SEND needs. Stillington is a small rural Primary School within a vibrant village community. In September there will be approximately 40 children on role and due to nursery starters this can increase throughout the year. Depending on numbers within school we have either two or three small mixed age classes. Stillington is federated with Foston Primary School, Langton Primary School and Terrington Primary School. All four schools share a senior leadership team. Our four schools are located approximately eight miles apart to the North of York. Their location allows for extremely close working including shared planning and staff training. The children regularly come together for curriculum enhancements.

We are looking to appoint an outstanding classroom practitioner with high expectations of what children can learn and the skills to support the progress of all through an exciting and creative curriculum. As a class teacher, the enthusiasm and motivation to help market our school through open days/playgroup and nursery links is very important.

Our Federation can offer:

  • A Senior Management Team with the skill and experience to drive forward school improvement.
  • A highly supportive and caring community founded on the caring ethos of the school.
  • Friendly and enthusiastic children who are eager to learn.
  • A vibrant and fun learning environment.
  • Access to high quality CPD and support.
  • An experienced team who work together across our 4 schools.
