Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire - Scarborough Sixth Form College

From September 2026, we are seeking a committed, enthusiastic and talented individual to join our team of Sports Academy Coaches. The College prides itself in offering students the opportunity to follow one of the sports academy pathways alongside their academic programme.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver training sessions for the girls' football programme.
  • Manage the teams on match days.
  • Coordinate weekly training: players receive training on Tuesday mornings and play in the AoC Yorkshire an additional coaching session on Tuesday morning 11.30‑1 pm approx.; preparation, administration and meetings with the Sports Coordinator where necessary.

Pay and Contract

The contract is permanent, based on an average of 5 hours per week, starting September 2025. The successful candidate will be appointed to scale point 10 of the College’s Support Staff pay spine, currently paid at £27,733 p.a. full time. Actual salary is pro‑rata to hours and weeks worked and includes a pro‑rata payment for holidays (e.g., £2,051 p.a. based on 5 hours per week).

Safeguarding

All appointments are subject to verification of qualifications, medical clearance, a satisfactory enhanced DBS check and satisfactory written references. Applicants who have worked or lived abroad may also be required to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct for the country they have resided in.
