About the Role:
As a Travelling Cook, your role will require you to lead and support the team to deliver an effective catering service operating to the highest standards of food safety. Your role will require you to prepare, cook and serve meals to students and staff, setting up and clearing away the dining hall, washing up, as well as other kitchen management duties such as supervision of staff, ordering food, stock‑taking and administration. Your role will require you to travel within the area as directed by the area management team. Full driving licence and use of a personal vehicle with business use insurance are required. As a valued member of our hardworking team, you will be dependable and committed to providing healthy wholesome dishes, typically working between 9:00 am and 1.30pm depending on the site which you would be covering. Full on‑site training will be conducted. You will work term time only; for this you will be paid £13.47- £14.13 per hour plus mileage (45p per mile) and travel time from your base school.
DBS Enhanced Level DBS Disclosure is required for appointment to this post.
