North Yorkshire Council provides care to a variety of people with a variety of needs in a variety of establishments including care homes and extra care facilities and is looking for a Domestic Assistant to support with the presentation and environmental hygiene standards of our homes. The main part of this role will be domestic support in the kitchen; however, you may be called upon to assist with other areas of the home.
You will be required to have an understanding/experience of undertaking domestic duties and tasks and an understanding of the safe and effective use of cleaning equipment and cleaning materials. You will have a basic understanding of the Health and Safety issues in relation to the cleaning process and the general safety of colleagues and residents. The role is for a domestic assistant; however, other duties may be included as required.
