Here at Right at Home we care for clients who have varying needs, some live with Dementia and may also have limited mobility as well as other needs. We are looking for Care Assistants who have a caring nature and ideally someone who holds a driving licence with regular access to a car to be able to support our clients throughout Skipton areas.
Care Assistant responsibilities:
- Supporting with personal care
- Assisting with dressing/undressing
- Meal preparation
- Shopping
- Appointments
- Companionship
- Support with medication
The role requires travel in and around Skipton. Mileage is paid between clients at £0.30 a mile. We offer flexible hours from 6 hours per week up to 20 hours per week. The majority of care visits are a minimum of 1 hour allowing time to provide quality care. We provide thorough training including medication administration and moving & handling. There are opportunities to progress into senior roles. We also run Carer of the month Award. All carers have the opportunity to join our Wellbeing initiatives- Book club, Well being Café and Yoga and Run Club.
Requirements:
- Holding a valid driving licence and regular access to a car.
