Role Overview
A Business Support Officer will support the Housing Standards Team based at Selby Civic Centre. The service improves housing standards across council owned properties, ensuring they meet all regulatory and legislative standards.
Responsibilities:
- Support Service Team Leaders and Managers with administration tasks such as creating spreadsheets, maintaining records and contacting tenants.
- Perform data processing tasks, primarily focusing on reports and collating information – advanced Excel usage and handling large volumes of data.
- Take minutes in meetings held across North Yorkshire.
- Maintain confidentiality and data security in line with organisational policies.
- Prioritise workload, work independently and contribute to a small team.
Qualifications:
- Good keyboard and IT skills with significant experience in Excel and data processing.
- Understanding or willingness to learn housing regulations and landlord duties.
- Organised, conscientious, proactive, with strong prioritisation skills.
- Ability to adhere to confidentiality and data security protocols.
Benefits:
