Position Overview
From September 2026, we are seeking a committed, enthusiastic and talented individual to join our team of Sports Academy Coaches.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver training sessions for the girls football programme.
- Manage teams on match days.
- Conduct weekly training on Tuesday mornings; participate in AoC Yorkshire & Humberside leagues and North Yorkshire School’s competitions on Wednesday afternoons.
- Attend fixtures or training sessions on a Wednesday afternoon.
- Conduct an additional coaching session on Tuesday morning 11:30‑1 pm (approx).
- Carry out preparation, administration and meet with the Sports Coordinator where necessary.
Working Hours
This contract will be on a permanent basis for an average of 5 hours per week, starting September 2025, following safeguarding and recruitment checks. Hours may be required beyond term‑time as needed to discharge duties.
Salary
The successful candidate will be appointed to scale point 10 of the College’s Support Staff pay spine, currently paid at £27,733 p.a. full time. Actual salary will be pro‑rata to the hours and weeks worked and includes a pro‑rata payment for holidays (e.g., £2,051 pa based on 5 hours per week).
