We are looking for a highly organised, customer-focused Parking Support Case Officer to join our dynamic and supportive team. If you have solid administrative skills and love problem solving, we will provide you with all the training you need to succeed. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced office environment.

This is a varied role, and you must be able to prioritise demanding workloads and work effectively as part of a team to meet deadlines. As a Parking Support Case Officer, you will work within a team providing a wide range of specialist support to the parking service, to ensure efficient, effective, and compliant service delivery in accordance with statutory legislation.

This is a varied and rewarding role with a working schedule of Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5pm and Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm.

The role:

  • Processing and managing penalty charge notices (PCNs) issued in connection with all parking contraventions, including data entry and tracking payments to enable the prompt recovery of all sums due in line with the current policy and procedures.
  • Answering all written and telephone enquiries that are made by the public, council officers or other professional bodies about technicalities and issues of penalty charge notices, drafting professional and high quality written responses.

We welcome all applicants who have experience in administration, and full training will be provided.

What you will bring:

  • Experience of working in a busy office environment and competence in using MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience of providing high levels of customer care and working to deadlines.
  • A polite, professional phone manner and the ability to write clear, empathetic, and accurate letters or emails.
  • A methodical approach with excellent organisational skills as you will be working to strict legislative deadlines.
  • An understanding of the importance of data protection (GDPR), Equality and Diversity and Health and Safety requirements of working within a busy office environment.
