Are you customer focused, have a passion for working with people, an interest in library services and communities, and are you tech savvy? As a Library Assistant, you will support the delivery of library and information services working alongside and supporting volunteers to ensure a high-quality service, support the delivery of activities and events, assist customers to access online information and resources, and encourage use by a wide range of customers.
As a busy library in a town centre location, you may face challenging situations in your day-to-day work. You will be passionate about books and reading, have excellent communication skills, the ability to work with a range of partners including volunteers, the ability to deliver a customer focused service, willing to help run events and activities including for children and families, and have literacy and numeracy qualifications equivalent to Level 2.
