Are you ready to influence change and improve outcomes for children and their families? We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Early Help Consultant to join the North Yorkshire Council Early Help Team and play a pivotal role in shaping support for children, young people, and families across the Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale areas. This is more than just a job—it's an opportunity to lead, influence, and make a lasting impact by ensuring families receive the “right support, at the right time, from the right people”. As an Early Help Consultant, you’ll be at the heart of multi‑agency working—connecting schools, early years providers, community organisations, and partner agencies to drive effective support for children and their families.
Responsibilities
- Champion early intervention and prevention.
- Influence practice across services and partners.
- Support professionals to identify and meet families’ needs effectively.
- Use data and insight to inform decision‑making and improve outcomes.
- Play a key role both operationally and strategically within the locality.
Qualifications
We want someone who brings energy, expertise, and a collaborative mindset. Ideally, you will have:
- Experience working across multi‑agency partnerships.
- A background in schools, early years, or community settings.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding thresholds.
- Experience supporting vulnerable children and families.
- Ability to influence practice and contribute to strategy.
Based at either Briercliffe or Ryedale Children & Families Hub, you’ll be part of a supportive and dedicated Children & Families Service – Early Help Team, working together to deliver meaningful interventions and improve lives across the community.
Enhanced Level DBS Disclosure is required for appointment to this post.
