Moorside is a friendly, nurturing and ambitious school at the heart of our community in Ripon.
We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated Teaching Assistant (SEND) (with lunchtime responsibilities) to join our school team.
This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working with children across the primary age range and is happy to work flexibly across the school, from Early Years through to Year 6.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience of working with children, preferably within a school or similar setting.
- Be enthusiastic about working with children from Early Years through to Year 6.
- Be flexible and able to adapt to different age groups, classrooms and responsibilities.
- Have a caring, patient and nurturing approach.
- Be willing and confident to undertake personal-care duties.
- Be able to support a child with physical needs in accordance with appropriate guidance and training.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Be reliable, responsible and able to use their initiative.
- Have a commitment to inclusion and enabling all children to participate fully.
- Be willing to undertake relevant training relating to moving and handling, personal care and specialist equipment.
- Have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
The role is a fixed term post initially until 31st July 2027 for 32.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm) on Band CD, Point 6 to start as soon as possible.
