Contract: Permanent, term time only + 1 week

Hours: 12 hours per week

At Husthwaite CE Primary School our aim is to provide a happy, caring and stimulating environment where children will recognise and achieve their full potential, so that they can make their best contribution to society. We have a vacancy for Before and After School Club Play Leader and are looking for someone who is experienced at working with children and committed to providing a caring, secure environment.

The working pattern will be Monday – Friday 3-5/5:30pm and 1 day a week working 8-9am.

Job purpose

The core focus of this job is to ensure the provision of high quality out of hours school provision for children, within a positive, safe & happy environment. The post holder will do this by organising and providing an appropriate range of activities and food. Take a lead role in running the club.

Ideal candidate

  • Be able to prepare and set up a room
  • Administer basic first aid as required
  • Ensure equipment is stored and maintained appropriately
  • Maintain a register and supervision of the children
  • Contribute to the development of club policies, procedures, aims and objectives
  • Have confidence liaising with parents, colleagues and pupils
  • Be responsible for the purchase of resources, incl. food / drink and equipment
