We have an opportunity to join our award-winning Facilities Management catering team where you will be providing tasty, nutritious, home-cooked meals made from locally sourced fresh produce. We are a ‘fresh food’ organisation encouraging children and young people to choose nutritious meals. We are currently recruiting a Relief Mobile Catering Assistant to join our team at various schools across the East of the county, catering for a varied number of meals per day depending on the schools’ requirements.
As a Mobile Catering Assistant your role will require you to support the team to deliver an effective catering service operating to the highest standards of food safety. Your role will require you to assist the cooks and teams to help prepare food products, serve meals to students and staff, set up and clear away the dining hall, wash up as well as assist with other kitchen duties, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Your role will require you to travel significantly within the county as directed by the area management team. A full driving license and use of a personal vehicle is required with business use insurance and a mileage allowance of 55p per mile will be paid. Alternatively, you should have the ability to travel to multiple remote locations.
As a valued member of our hardworking team, you will be reliable, dependable and committed to providing healthy wholesome dishes. You’ll typically work various hours per week, usually 9:00-14:00 Monday to Friday, so no weekend work! You will work term time only. For this, you will be paid £13.28 per hour.
